Greetings: I started shooting pictures in 1967. By 1969 I was armed with a brand new Nikkormat and I was exploring the streets of New York. Immediately, the sense of creating a story began to brew in my mind. So I proceeded by using a method of candid photo essays of children and adults, which in time I came to understand was the essence of photojournalism. In my work though, the sequence of shots told the story. Thus I coined the term STRIPS inspired by comic strips that I had seen but done photographically.

The themes that had captivated me were Walls, Abstracts views, but mostly Strips.
